In the face of current major political and social upheavals, women across the U.S. and the world are rising up to push for increased leadership roles across all sectors of society. WOMEN’S RETREAT WITH WASFIA NAZREEN AND CORA NEUMANN, AUGUST 10-13, 2017
Based in Wasfia’s personal experience and training in yoga and meditation, and pulling from Cora’s curriculum designed for First Ladies and women leaders, this 3-day retreat will help you answer the central question, ‘Who are you in this time?’ What type of leader and changemaker are you? What issues or causes do you care about most, and how can you apply your best skills and strengths to making a difference? Facilitators and guest speakers include social impact expert Esha Chhabra and more.
RESET’s approach is grounded in the belief that we as women will rise from this setback stronger, and this intensive will help women get clear on how they can harness their own unique strengths and power to stay active in the face of continued adversity. Program includes: yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, immersive time in nature, writing, and workshops focused on social activism, leadership, purpose and resilience.
WOMEN'S TREK TO EVEREST BASECAMP WITH WASFIA NAZREEN, SPRING 2018
Mount Everest Basecamp
Journey to the heart of Mount Everest, known in Nepali as the Mother of all Oceans (Sagarmatha) and in Tibetan as the Mother Goddess of the Universe (Chomolungma), with one of the region's top climbers, women leaders and activists, National Geographic Adventurer and Explorer Wasfia Nazreen.
This Himalayan trek to Everest’s Southern Face Basecamp (18,480') will take a small group of women through some of the world’s most spectacular mountain and glacier scenery with the purpose of coming together to connect and explore what it means to be a woman in this time of tumultuous change. Guided by Wasfia, you will discover and connect with the region through the eyes of someone who has lived and worked there for more than a decade. In addition to trekking, the program includes meditation and yoga, and exposes you to the Sherpa peoples’ spiritual perspective on the mountains they call home.
Cost: $7,000. Deposit of $1,500 due by October 1, 2017. Following registration, all participants will be scheduled for Skype calls with Wasfia to receive their individualized training regime and preparation materials.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Nepali community's work to rebuild after the 2015 earthquake.
