Founder: Cora Neumann, Phd
For nearly 20 years, Cora has collaborated with international leaders in over 40 countries on strategies to improve the lives of their populations. Cora is founder of the Global First Ladies Alliance, and served as a senior advisor under Secretary Clinton at the U.S. Department of State. She has worked for RAND Corporation, the Bush Institute, Care.com, the Clinton Global Initiative, the World Health Organization, and United Nations. Cora holds a doctorate in international development from the University of Oxford UK, and an MPH in global public health from Columbia University. Cora's doctoral work focused on preserving indigenous Ayurvedic medical systems in South and Southeast Asia, and she is a trained Ayurvedic practitioner and meditator.
CO-FOUNDER: ALMA LACOUR
For over 15 years, Alma has worked with both Fortune 500 brands and emerging artists alike to help them define their story, voice, and brand. She is currently Senior Agent at Bernstein & Andriulli and the Founder of Anthony + Stanton. Previously, she oversaw Mass Appeal Creative, a boutique agency focusing on impacting culture. Alma is passionate about facilitating collaboration and creativity , and is deeply involved in building diverse women-led communities.
CO-FOUNDER: WASFIA NAZREEN
Wasfia Nazreen is a National Geographic Adventurer and Explorer, and founder of Ösel Foundation, which aspires to empower girls in Bangladesh and Nepal through outdoors education. Her work with Tibetan refugees took her to Dharamsala in her early twenties, where she healed herself from childhood trauma using indigenous wisdom and taking refuge in nature. She went on to become the first Bangladeshi and only Bengali to complete the Seven Summits, and has won numerous national and global awards for her activism and commitment to empowering women: see more in the film entitled Wasfia. Prior work includes representing Bangladesh in ESPNw and the U.S. State Department’s Global Sports Mentoring Program, and work on behalf of refugees, women and indigenous peoples through UNPFII, BRAC and CARE. Wasfia is a student of HH the 14th Dalai Lama and HH the 17th Karmapa, and is a certified yoga instructor.
Esha has over 10 years of experience as a journalist focusing on sustainability, development and entrepreneurship. She oversees social impact strategy for RESET.
